Well John Steve and Mary Nelson are getting close to be real empty nesters! Steve graduated from OU this spring. Jane and Sol, Mary Vann and John, and Evelyn and I all went out to Edmond to help celebrate. Mary Vann and John and Evelyn got early tickets and I started late but managed to get the same price as they did. I got there about six hours ahead of Mary Vann, John and Evelyn. Jane and Sol had driven out and arrived the day before. We just sat around and chilled out waiting for them to arrive". Steve was on his way to Edmon from Norman that afternoon and he picked them up. Here is a story that goes with this trip: Evelyn, wrote an email to John Steve and said that since the airport was so far from Edmond that she thought that She and Mary Vann and John should either rent a car or borrow one from John Steve. Well an email arrived that said that this would be fine for Mary Vann and John but John Steve thought that Evelyn could get there just fine on her broom. A phone call immediately followed the email where Mary Nelson said that she want it made very clear that John Steve had sent that email. The next day was Friday and Mary Nelson took us all downtown to look at the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Memorial Center Museum. That evening we all took off for the Friday night graduation. We got there early and got great seats. The Prud'hommes (sp?) held down one end of our contingent while I held down the other end. And here is a picture of the middle of the crew. .
